The woman who was taken to the hospital from golfer Tiger Woods' home in Windermere, Florida, is his mother-in-law, media reports said on Tuesday.
Woods, the world's No. 1 golfer, has been the focus of a media storm since he was injured in car crash near his home late last month. He has since admitted to "transgressions" that apparently addressed allegations of marital infidelity.
More drama at the Woods household: Tiger's mother-in-law was rushed to the hospital via ambulance early this morning.
Barbro Holmberg, 57, is reported in stable condition after suffering from stomach pains, according to TMZ. We're thinking the tension at Casa Woods would give anyone an ulcer, but it's unclear what exactly is wrong with her. Holmberg has been staying with her daughter, Elin Nordegren, since the scandal broke the week of Thanksgiving.
Local media have showed footage of a blond woman being taken on a stretcher to a hospital in Ococee, Florida, and reported that medics were called to Woods' home at 2:36 a.m. (0736 GMT).
Some reports placed both Holmberg and Tiger's mom at the scene of the accident. Neighbors said both moms came out of the house during the commotion following Tiger's now infamous one-car accident in the wee hours of the day after Thanksgiving.
This should make for some awkward family get-togethers, should Elin choose to stay with her (allegedly) cheating husband.
