When it came to the love of Norwalk, there was no contest - and it was not a competition. Bill Bader Jr. and his team at the Summit Motorsports Park 2009 season began drag racing Saturday but not before leaving us Norwalk Mayor Louis Frey.

Bader presented Mrs. Frey Huron County at the Lifetime achievement Award and accept on behalf of Frey's family."When you think of Norwalk, you think of Louis," said Bader.

He said it was appropriate to Frey, who was born one of the most patriotic support for their hometown, for the quarter July.

"It was long the most supportive of the city," Frey said Bader, who had several terms as Mayor of Norwalk's. Louis Frey left a trail of Norwalk in a way few ever. It is and will remain missing.

"Louie was a man and I thought enough of him."

Bader said he wanted to present the prize Frey household last year, but there was a woman, Miriam, to make the road, she was a replacement laptop. Bader joked it was a wheel on the track anyway.

Miriam said she is making love - and she believes that her husband.

"I know he was smiling," she said.

Before the race, also iompú ideas for Corey Martin, a 15 year-old boy fighting Leukemia Norwalk.

Bader noted that Martin count down the days until the opener and had to be present. Still, increasing temperature and it was in the hospital. However Bader presented the teenager with only one season in 2009, and a T-shirt to vote.

And then he was racing time. Flames shot from the rear of the car as a gun. The cars looked like they were also roaring over 200 mph. Over 450 cars compete for the season opener.

Two of the cars was a jet car racers Elaine Larson and Hannah Rich, the world record holder ET and jet funny Automobile speed, the two best compete in two of the three species, with Larson won two.
