state of emergency

Due to the winter storms come in the deep snow across West Virginia, forcing the closure of some roads in central and souther part of the state, Gov. Joe Manchin declared a state of emergency and authorized the use of National Guard to assist pag snow removal and emergency assistance and operations.

Locally, weather conditions are not nearly as bad as other parts of West Virginia, as Beckely. No National Guard is active in the North to beg.

Manchín said the state did everything possible to help stranded motorists, clear roads and help utility crews restore power, but snow is still accumulating the storm moves north across the state. National Guard and emergency measures have come statement to provide more resources to help address the effects of the storm.
